The artist Omma moon, a woman with braided hair, holding paintbrushes, stands in front of an easel displaying a realistic portrait painting of woman.

Omma Moon is a portrait painter based in Sweden.

Omma Moon explores the meeting between figurative oil painting and modern-day life, using old materials and techniques in her timeless portraits.

Born in 1995, she grew up in Sweden, Ghana, and the United States, working in Australia and Ireland before returning to Sweden where she now lives and paints. With an academic background in material science coupled with a deep interest in historical methods, she received her artistic training at the Florence Academy of Art, complemented by studies at HDK Valand. This diversity of cultural and academic backgrounds converges in a global, materially grounded sensibility defining her approach to contemporary portraiture.

She is a member of the Pastel Guild of Europe and of Sweden's Konstnärscentrum. Her work has been exhibited internationally and is held in private collections as well as in the collection of the Swedish state.
